Position: Quality Engineer

Previous position: Quality Technician

Working at Impedans: 3 months

Bio: During her college days, she was inspired to be an accountant just like her mother. But, when she attended a meeting in her technical university, she quickly gained interest in Quality Assurance and hence completed her masters on this topic. After finishing masters successfully, she started her career with an automotive company. It has been 8 years since she moved to Ireland where she found she can shine in the chosen career. Since then, she has always been passionate about Quality Assurance and ISO certifications.

What drew you to this career?
My professor! In the beginning, when I was studying technology, my professor helped me to learn more and get involved in Quality. At the same time, the scope of this field was rich with many opportunities. I knew it was my cup of tea once I started working in this field. Also, engaging with a like minded team of people helps to make the ISO certification process seem easier.

What's the biggest challenge you faced when taking on this new role?
It is my first time working with niche technology and plasma which is challenging. Having my background in Material Components (plastic), Automotive and Aerospace industries; I had a learning curve to get familiar with plasma and electronics.

What excites you about working for Impedans?
I love working in a growing company, which has a lot of potential for growth professionally and personally. Also, I enjoy working with smaller teams and to help increase productivity.

How would you describe your role in one word?
Challenging! As I mentioned earlier, I’m still on the learning curve to get completely familiar with the technology and operations. This is the best part of my job as I enjoy learning new things.

How would you describe your experience so far at Impedans?
I’m still learning and also trying to perform well in my role. I’m working on ISO 17025 certification for the company. I’m happy that my team is very supportive and helps me achieve my goals.
