From its inception in 2004, Impedans has had a vision to put intelligent sensors on every plasma processing tool to measure what is often thought impossible i.e. the complex characteristics of the plasma state of matter used for surface modification. Impedans recently secured investment from leading global venture capital firm, SOSV, to accelerate growth. SOSV specialises in multi-stage investment to develop and scale businesses.
One individual who believes strongly in the mission and vision of Impedans is Bill Liao, venture partner at SOSV and investor director at Impedans. Bill has extensive experience scaling businesses and is passionate about his non-profit endeavours with a personal mission to plant 2 trillion trees by 2020. He is the founder of WeForest, co-founder of CoderDojo and a regular guest speaker at Ted Conferences, to name but a few of his accomplishments. He became a venture capitalist with SOSV in 2011 after meeting with Sean O’Sullivan.
